Avoid Music Download Scams

Whether you start through Google or another means you will find that there are literally thousands of sites offering music downloads. How are you to decide between all those choices? I start by looking for sites that offer information and reviews of the various sites. I might search for terms like "music download reviews" or "music download site reviews". What comes up next is where the problem starts. Both terms bring up paid results for review sites that promote these scams. Why would they do that? Plain and simple - money! Most the sites charging for free file sharing software pay affiliates 75% of every sale.

Review of the Weather Report CD Sweetnighter

The super talented group Weather Report have released their latest CD on the Legacy Recordings recording label, entitled Sweetnighter. I wish it weren"t the case but, it"s not everyday that I get a CD for review that I can just pop in and comfortably listen to from beginning to end. There is usually a song or two that I just can"t force myself to get through. Not at all the case with Sweetnighter. Every track is enjoyable and was pretty easy for me to listen to from start to finish. Refreshingly, this was one of those CDs I was able to just pop in and comfortably listen to from beginning to end.

Review of the Korn CD Take A Look In The Mirror

Take A Look In The Mirror is the latest release from Korn, and is another winner by this talented group. Korn have been a heavy hitters in the Rock genre for quite some time now and Take A Look In The Mirror is an excellent illustration as to why. Take A Look In The Mirror has a nicely varied, mix of 13 tracks that are very well written and brilliantly performed songs by these clearly outstanding musicians. With many of the songs displaying a lot of the kind emotion that makes for a really great listen. Seemingly drawing from what I can only imagine are their own personal experiences. At different points touching on the most real emotions of love, heartbreak, pain, failed relationships and unattainable romance.

Guitar Fret Buzzing Problems

I am surprised at the large number of guitars, for sale in stores, that need some final going over before they are ready to be played. Often some or all of the strings are too close to the frets and they buzz and vibrate when depressed. If I am checking a guitar for possible purchase I always run my hand down along ends of the frets. I have actually cut myself on sharp protruding frets. Some retailers claim that during the winter time when it is unusually dry indoors, that the wooden necks actually become very dry and shrink. The frets, of course, being metal do not shrink. This situation causes the sharp frets to stick out like knife blades.

Playing the Bones of the Xylophone

The xylophone was first created in Indonesia and is a member of the percussion family. The instrument has a set of different sized bars that are made out of wood and are each made to make a particular note when struck. The different bars are struck with wooden, rubber or plastic mallets to make different sounds. This particular percussion instrument has been around for thousands of years. This has been proven by artifacts found from as far back as 2000 BC. Throughout history, there have also been other variations of xylophones made, including ones that were made and used by ancient temples in China.

The Melodic Sounds of the Trumpet

The trumpet is an instrument that is a member of the brass family, though it has also been referred to as a wind or an aerophone instrument, and has the highest register among all the brass instruments. The trumpet is made out of brass tubing that is narrowest at the mouthpiece and widest at the end. This particular instrument, like other brass instruments is played by blowing into the mouthpiece through closed lips to create a vibration. The instrument as three keys or piston valves that work to alter the sound produced, often creating a lower pitch. Each valve will lower the sound the trumpet makes as it is pressed down by the musician.
