The world changed dramatically during the second half of the Twentieth Century, as the United States became the most powerful nation both politically and culturally. One American phenomenon that has left its mark in all corners of the world is pop music. Here is my list of the most important pop songs of the Twentieth Century, in chronological order. Perhaps they were not the first, the best or the most original, but they were the right thing at the right time, and they changed history. 1. "Rock Around the Clock, " (1954). Bill Haley and the Comets. In the early years of Rock music, the inclusion of this song would be a no brainer.
Piano Buying Guide - Another Two Tips
The Pitfalls of Buying Your Piano Online Recently, people have been purchasing pianos through online piano brokers and through eBay. I see major problems with this. If a so-called broker who calls himself a dealer, is selling pianos to consumers and does not have a physical facility or a complete operation with experienced and dedicated people who care about their product and customers, stay away! This is bad news! I will go into this further in a moment. As far as shopping for a piano on eBay, I have spent some time looking at it and I am still not convinced that it is a reliable way to go, notwithstanding all the evaluation mechanisms that are built into their system.
The Stoy Behind Creating My Own Hip Hop Community
Growing up I always loved music... just like any other artist I wanted to be heard. I started producing music and rapping at the same time. I put years and years into my music but I never knew how to promote it. My name is Brandon Marshall Havener... my stage name is B HAV. I feel that I have been helping artists out for the longest time but a lot of the motivation went to waist. I think many hip hop artists have heard the same story before. I have found so many people out there who want to be "rappers" but who's really in it to win? This was a problem for me. Once I started staying on the production side of music I realized a lot of the people I worked with were not motivated.
How to Be a Great Singer - Extend Your Vocal Range
One way to be a great singer is to learn how to use the whole range of your voice so that it sounds completely smooth from the lower notes all the way to the top notes. When you sing, the sound should blend completely so that you do not sound like two different people with one voice being loud and heavy with your higher range sounding thin and weak. Sing With A Full Powerful Voice There are only a few people who can get away with distinctly different sounds in the vocals. Mariah Carey is an example. We know that she likes to sing songs in her upper register which is light and airy. However when she first started in the business all her songs were full voiced and powerful.
Creating the Perfect Pitch - Sound Advice by Airel Publicity
Branding yourself both online and offline will really set up this coming year to be a break through one for your musical career. To do this you must start with the most fundamental aspect of you as an artist: Your Pitch! Two things happened recently to inspire this article. Scenario #1: I was out at the Mercury Lounge seeing music and between bands I was standing at the bar talking to some friends and someone handed me a show flyer. I was taken with him immediately, I always appreciate anyone who is self -promoting because its not easy to do and it's especially not easy to do at a crowded bar on a Wednesday night in downtown Manhattan.
Ralph Ruppert - Record Producer
German pop music Record Producer Ralph Ruppert (aka Ralph P Ruppert) relocated from Frankfurt, Germany to London in August 1985 after signing an exclusive Producers contract with CBS Records (now Sony Records) to produce the Berlin/Liverpool duo Picnic At The Whitehouse, a studio project formed by Berlin based keyboardist 'Ilfo' Debusmann. The very original recording of their first single "We Need Protection" featured the then still unknown Terence Trent D'arby on lead vocals which were replaced later by vocals performed by Liverpool vocalist Eddie Hind. "We Need Protection" was a Top Ten Single in many mainland Europe countries.
Growing Up With Elton John
1973. Crocodile rock is all over the airwaves and I am 14 years old. Music slams my psyche like never before in this staccato refrain laden song. I went out and bought my first 45rpm record that year. I quickly learned something that would follow me to this day - Elton's best music never made the airwaves. The flip side of Crocodile Rock was a cool, offbeat kinda song called Eldeberry Wine. As I collected 45's over the next decade, Elton produced singles with songs on the B-side that never appeared on any of his albums. I made a cassette tape of all his "flip side" songs and was the envy of every Elton fan I met.
Review of Weber Mandolin, Gallatin F Model
Sound to Earth, aka, Weber Mandolins, of Montana creates some of the world's best mandolins, octave mandolins, mandolas, and mandocellos. Among the Weber line is the Gallatin F, a carved top mandolin with a simple, rustic look. The Gallatin F looks as though it would be right at home in rustic Montana. The Gallatin F contains few adornments, along with a finish that reminds me of leather, as well as Weber's textured stainless steel tailpiece. The model is named after the Gallatin River in Montana, which is one of the three forks of the Missouri River, and named by the Merriweather Lewis of the Lewis and Clark expedition after Albert Gallatin, who was Treasury Secretary.
