1. You can learn to play the guitar by yourself by reading a guitar book that you will be getting from your local bookstore. There are good books around.
2. You might want to hire a teacher who will come to your home and work with you there. Again, you can go into your local yellow pages and find a guitar teacher there. It might cost you a good amount of money, but it is worth it.
3. Your third option is to find online training that will give you everything that you need like video tutorial, real lessons, and a good amount of coaching tips from a real pro. Getting all this will cost you a small fee. Is it worth it? Yes it is. This kind of training will not only teach you everything that you need to know about playing the acoustic guitar, but it will also let you have fun at the same time.
So, if you really want to learn to play the acoustic guitar, check somewhere in your home if you have one. If you don't, go out and buy one. You don't have to get an expensive one. There are cheap ones on the market. Once you have a guitar in your hands, hire a part time teacher or get all your training online.
