Learn How to Play Slide Guitar
There are many different types of guitar that you can choose to play: Acoustic, electric, 6 and 12 string being some of the choices you have. There are also various ways that you are able to play these guitars, one of the more popular in certain types of music being the slide guitar. If you would like to learn how to play slide guitar, you will be pleased to know that it is really not all that difficult. This is especially the case if you already have some experience playing the 6 string.
There are several different options that you're going to have to choose from when you learn how to play slide guitar, one of the most important being the type of slide that you're going to use. The two main options to consider are whether to use a glass slide or a metal slide - each of which will give you its own distinctive sound. You will also have to decide which finger you will wear the slide on, allowing the rest of your fingers to be able to play chords easily.
The slide is moved over the strings in a soft fashion and is not meant to impress the strings down to the fret in the same way that your fingers are. As you move it up and down the string, however, it will play notes that are even in between the main notes and you can make various types of sounds, simply by sliding it around on the neck of the guitar.
It may take a little bit of practice in the beginning, but if you have a guitar and a slide, you can begin playing music on your very first day.
