Felon Movie Review

Powerful. Emotional. Justice. Friendship. Love. Hatred. These are the words that kept spinning through my head as I watched 'Felon'. The story stars Stephen Dorff who plays a family-orientated hardworking man with a bright future who killed an intruder into his home by accident and gets incarcerated as a result. While his fiancee who is with a struggle to make ends meet outside as a result of losing his income, Stephen fights his own battle within the prison walls struggling to please the gangs and pander to the whims of twisted tyrannic prison officers. Val Kilmer plays a strong quiet man with an imposing presence and a depressing past.

The Dark Knight - Don t You Dare Miss It!

In the making of the film The Dark Knight, the brilliant construction of the plot, the careful assignment of the character roles, the designing of the costumes, and the care in filming and production of the movie carry this film to it's rightful place-at the top of the charts. The plot of this heavily dramatic work of art places the idolized comic book superhero, Batman, in a compromising position that draws him away from the superhero genre-an interestingly different approach that fives the viewers a second opinion of what goes on in the mind of a superhero. Is anyone really squeaky clean in the world of crime?

Adam Elliot s Family Trilogy 1996-1999

Claymator Adam Elliot's semi-autobiographical short film trilogy, each one painting a portrait of a different family member, Uncle (1996), Cousin (1998), and Brother (1999), heralded the arrival of a fantastic new talent. His first forays into the art of claymation, preceding his Academy award winning Harvie Krumpet (2003) by a number of years, are an absolute joy. Although joy is perhaps not quite the right word, as these terrifically rich stories are doused with a great deal of pathos. Uncle (1996), is about an eccentric and loving man, who paints smiley faces with his food and dresses up as Father Christmas every year, whose life-force gradually drains away after a series of personal losses.

Man With a Movie Camera 1929 - Dziga Vertov

There are those that choose to intellectualise Vertov's silent Soviet documentary, including Vertov himself, (when he was alive, at least.) But of course, there are those that will choose to intellectualise a sunrise or a sunset (or a bowel movement, for that matter.) Millions of words have been written on Man with a Movie Camera, analysing how one shot relates to the next, and on what these relationships mean. I can just imagine bookish looking gentlemen in cardigans, armed with DVD remotes, notepads and pens, sitting inches away from a television set, bleary-eyed as they enter their 37th hour of watching this magical film, and they are not even half-way through yet.

How MTV s The Hills Makes Advertising Money

MTV's reality show, The Hills, is a money making machine. Recent reports claim Lauren Conrad earns $75, 000 per episode and she deserves every penny of it. The Hills is MTV's top rated television show that follows a core group of friends around while they go on with their lives in Los Angeles, CA. Although the show is categorized as a reality show, there is plenty of acting by the cast. This is important because they always seem to highlight new restaurants and clubs in Los Angeles, which isn't a coincidence. These establishments are paying top dollar to appear on The Hills to create buzz for their establishment.

Prison Break Character Guide

Prison Break, already in season 4, has gone through many characters in their story line. To keep all these characters straight, here is a Prison Break main character Guide. Lincoln Burrows is Michael Scofields brother and was wrongfully accused of killing the Vice President of the United States, Terence Steadman. We find out later Terence Steadman is indeed alive and there's a company of people hiding the truth from America.

Every Day With Rachael Ray

I'll admit it, I am somewhat smitten by Rachael Ray, her genuine goofiness and beaming smile is hard to resist. I first noticed Rachael Ray on the cooking channel or foodtv. I never knew such a thing existed until it showed up on our favorite channel list, (added by someone in the family) about 7 years ago. At that time a famous chef from New Orleans (Emeril lagasse) ruled the foodtv network along with a few others. Rachael Ray bursts on the scene in 2001 and it's been a rise to stardom from there, First featured on a local CBS affiliate as a segment on "30 minute meals." Foodtv made it into a feature show on their network.

DVD Review - Oil, Smoke and Mirrors by Ronan Doyles

'Oil Smoke & Mirrors' - a truly cryptic title at first glance. Since my interest in saving on gas bills has been piqued in recent months by the heightened oil prices in the past two years, I was curious to find out what this DVD had to say about this crazy increase in oil prices. Ronan Doyles, the director of this production ' Oil Smoke & Mirrors' (ASIN: B0017W6HO8), provided scant consolation with regard to the prospects for oil prices in the coming years. Adopting a truly 'no-holds-barred' approach, he delivers a hard-hitting message on the stark consequences confronting mankind due to limited oil supply and exponentially growing demand.

Zune Movies - Things to Keep in Mind When Downloading

One of the best things about the Zune player is the ability to store and play Zune movies. A typical player is about 30 gigabytes and this device can be a serious multimedia workhorse especially for movie buffs and TV show aficionados. The movies are not difficult to transfer to the device either because the software that the device is packaged with makes it straightforward. Watching Movies - Another great thing about the Zune player is that you can sync the movies to be able to play on iTunes or on Windows Media Player which is the default setting. So what is the problem? Well, when it comes to downloading files, there may be a few things to keep in mind when doing so.

Why Doesn t COPS Get Credit For Modernizing Reality Television?

It all started in 1988. Yes. That far back. In the fair year 1988, producer/writer/director John Langley created Fox Broadcasting Company's televisions series COPS. And ever since then, we've been treated to the best of the worst of America. And we've eaten up every gruesome second of it. With only a camera operator and a boom microphone person riding along, intrepid law enforcement officers (happy to have us riding along all through the night) have given us more than just a peek into what really happens out in streets when push comes to shove. And what happens out there, thanks to COPS unfortunately doesn't stay out there.
