Is Getting Movies Off The Internet Legal?
In these days of spiraling prices and costly goods one would almost forgive the fact that many people download things from the net that they should not. I m not talking about objectionable material, i m talking about copyrighted materials. While the net is flooded with such things most of it is appalling quality and not worthy of viewing on a cellular phone, never mind a television set. Which brings me to quality issues... Now a regular television displays images at roughly 640x480 resolution, this suits many of us fine. Of course we now have HDTV and that is often four times the resolution of the regular signal we re used to.
How Wireless Headphones Can Make Your Life Easier
Are you a music junkie who only looks forward to those sacred moments that you can sit down with your iPod, MP3 player, or even at your computer, to listen to your favorite song? It's a beautiful feeling, isn't it? There is nothing like some good alone time with the artist and song you love the most. But while it is fun to have the private time to listen through your headset - or earbuds - wouldn't it be better to not have to feel restrained by the cord that links you to your device? It may not bother some people with portable devices, but if you are linked to a larger object, like a PC, then you have to sometimes unravel yourself and pull off your headset to answer a phone, get a quick snack, or answer the door.
Movie Review - If You Like El Topo, Try Climbing The Holy Mountain
"The Holy Mountain" (1973) is one of the best movies I have recently seen. It is also one of the best movies I have ever seen in my entire life. Like everyone who has experienced "The Holy Mountain, " I saw director Alejandro Jodorowsky's "El Topo" first. "El Topo" was a minor cult hit in the early seventies, thanks to John Lennon's interest in the picture. If you've seen "El Topo" and enjoyed it, you owe it yourself to experience "The Holy Mountain" Mere words cannot convey the depth and breadth of a film like this one. Certainly, it is NOT recommended for just anyone. It is filled with symbolism and ambiguity, and carries a strong "R" rating.
Juno - The Lessons in Life
I went to see the movie "Juno" with my best friend the other day. While it wasn't a movie that showed particularly realistic acting or extreme special effects (both of which I like), it struck a chord with me. 16-year-old Juno MacGuff (Ellen Page), after three pregnancy tests, is finally convinced she is almost nine weeks pregnant by her friend Paulie Bleeker (Michael Cera). While she appears slightly disappointed when it is 100% certain, she takes it surprisingly well. No crying or pity-seeking. Juno decides to have an abortion but changes her mind at the last minute when she gets to the abortion clinic and a school-mate tells her babies have fingernails and the receptionist tries to give her blueberry flavored condoms.
Dead Alive Movie - Dead Alive DVD
I've seen the movie several times, and it keeps getting worse and worse. Dead Alive definitely has its good points, such as the kung-fu priest, the zombie baby, the walking intestines, and the giant monster that literally has a man-eating stomach. These are all awesome ideas and I praise Peter Jackson for his creativity, but if you're going to make a humorous horror movie, leave out some of the odd gory details. The cheap soundtrack and disjointed photography made the characters and their surroundings deluded, not in the least bit humorous. Therefore, this movie is not a comedy, nor is it part of the horror genre, but merely an odd film.
Gossip Girl- Episode 13 A Thin Line Between Chuck and Nate
Episode 13 is called "A Thin Line Between Chuck and Nate"-- a thin blue line, that is... like the kind you hope not to see on a teenage pregnancy test. And this particular pregnancy test causes scandal after scandal. First it's Serena, caught buying the test and reported by none other than Gossip Girl herself. Dan finds out in about two milliseconds and promises to do the right thing. I knew he was a sweetie pie. He's a keeper, Serena. But Serena bought the test is for Blair, who, being the spoiled princess she is, refuses to take it. Because if Miss Princess doesn't want to be pregnant, then she's not pregnant.

Drillbit Taylor Movie Review 2008
Drillbit Taylor is the best Owen Wilson film to hit the screens this year, I am sure there will be another before the year is out. This film revolves around Drillbit Taylor played by Owen Wilson. He is hired as a bodyguard to protect three geeky kids from their high school bullies. Drillbit Taylor teaches the children how to protect themselves, fight back and even learns a few things himself. As the story develops Drillbit Taylor's motives become more complex than first revealed. Moreover, he develops a relationship with one of the teachers played by the lovely Leslie Mann. I personally love Owen Wilson and even enjoyed the terrible Shanghai Noon because Owen Wilson is so funny and always enthusiastic.
