Online DVD Rental Or the Rental Store?

Rental Store

We all loved the rental store in the 1990s, there was nothing better than visiting there altogether as a family, selecting what movies everyone wanted and then going home to relax and watch them with some popcorn.

So why are more and more people renting online. Well here are the pros and cons of The Rental Store.

Cons:
People are busy these days, when you rent from a store you have to go there, do you really want to do this after a hard days work, or if its dark, cold and rainy outside, the answer is no.

You only get the movie for a certain amount of days, and if you don't return it in time you get fined some ridiculous charge for each day its overdue. Again this comes back to the first point however reversed, when you rent from a store you have to go back.

Pros:
If a movie is not available when you get there you can at least select another one that you want!!
Hold on a minute I hear you say, you can do this with online rental also.
Your right you can, with online rental you get to choose a large list of movies so if your top selection is not available, they will send you the next one on your list, but my point is... What if you get sent a horror and you were really in the mood for a comedy. You only get this luxury with a Rental Store, if you like all genres of movies and have them on your list, its potluck what you will end up with online rental.

Secondly, what happens if the DVD is faulty, you go home, sit down with the family and it does not play only to find on inspection it has a 3/4 inch scratch across it. You take it back, you get a replacement or select a new movie and you go home and your evening is not completely wasted. With online rental you cannot do this, what will I do tonight!

Online DVD Rental

Cons:
You never quite know what movies you are going to get, sure you can have them all in your list in the order you would ideally like to receive them but it never quite works out that way.

Pros:
The movies are delivered right through your letterbox, you don't have to go anywhere or do anything. When you are ready to return it you simply put it back in the prepaid envelope and pop it in a post box.

When you rent DVDs online it will save you so much money compared to having to rent at your local store.

Enjoy watching your movies whatever method you feel is best and most convenient for you.
