Watch LOST in Amazing HD on Satellite TV
As the fourth season of the 2006 Golden Globe and 2005 Emmy winning series LOST continues high-definition television viewers are getting deeper into this incredible show. The LOST series is a drama filled with intrigue and action. This show is very character based showing both internal and external character conflicts. LOST can be seen on ABC HD which is available on both DirecTV and Dish Network.
In Season One, viewers were introduced to the survivors of Oceanic Air flight 815's crash that took place over an island in the Pacific Ocean. Viewers followed the characters as they dealt with the adjustment of living on the island amongst strangers. We watched as relationships developed and fell apart. The survivors built dwellings on the beach and lived off the various fruits found on the island. Occasionally they enjoyed the delicacy of wild boar.
It was not long before HDTV viewers found themselves embroiled within the mysteries of the island, many of which remain unclear to this day. The island itself seems to hold some sort of power over the survivors. John Locke, a handicap passenger confined to a wheelchair, quickly regained the ability to use his legs. Rose Henderson, a cancer patient, has been in remission while on the island.
The survivors of Oceanic flight 815 have been at odds with a group of people living on the island which have been named "The Others". This group had been observing the survivors and kidnapping some of the passengers and children. In Season Two, we get a closer look at these people and how they relate to the island.
Another big mystery surrounding the island has been the multiple "stations" that were found. The island was being used by a scientific study group called "The Dharma Initiative." We have learned that the Others are associated with the Dharma Initiative and being directed by a man named Ben Linus.
The first three seasons took viewers on a wild ride through the crash itself to the murder of some of the survivors to the kidnapping of a boy named Walt. Viewers never know what interesting intrigue the writers will include next but they love trying to figure out what everything means. Forums are dedicated to trying to uncover the mystery of the island. Satellite TV viewers rewind, pause, and replay this show in HD looking for any clues the director included show such as the Dharma symbol on the belly of a shark.
This drama includes a little bit of island romance as LOST HD fans cheer for characters Jack Shepherd or James "Sawyer" Ford as they vie for the attentions of Kate Austen. At the end of season two, four of the main characters were kidnapped by the others. During their stay with the others Jack began a budding relationship with Juliet Burke, a doctor for the Others while Kate and Sawyer took their relationship to another level.
Season four began with the hint of rescue as survivors interact with a small group of people that have arrived on the island from a nearby ship. Satellite television viewers later discovered that this group did not have rescue in mind. Their primary purpose was to kill Ben Linus. This has left the group unsettled and viewers do not know what to expect next.
This incredible story is filled with flashbacks and flash forwards to help the viewer try to understand what is happening on the island or to understand the internal conflicts of the characters. LOST fans enjoy watching these flashes to try to get a glimpse of clues. In some scenes you may be able to see a relation to another survivor's life story. Catching these flashes in high-definition makes it easy to see some of the smaller detailed clues that you might miss otherwise.
The show's creators announced in May 2007 that this show will be ending with the 2009 - 2010 season. The fourth season of LOST will continue after a short break on April 24th at 10PM on ABC and ABC HD.
If you have not had a chance to view LOST in high-definition make sure to set your Direct TV HD DVR to record ABC HD on April 24. You will be transported to the island as if you were one of the survivors of Oceanic flight 815. Hold on to your seats if you watch this incredible high-def experience on a large screen HDTV. You may find yourself so immersed in the show that some of the action will have you jumping in your seat.
