Nature Photography - Five Tips For Great Rainforest Photos
Rainforest photography, like all good nature photography, is more about your sensitivity to nature than about expensive equipment. Of course you need a decent camera, and you must know how to use it. But the quality of your photos does not depend on the price tag on your camera. As long as you have a tripod, and a camera that allows you to adjust the aperture and shutter speed, you are set to go. I make my living from nature photography, including a lot of rainforest photos, and I have never relied on the latest equipment for my work. Great rainforest photography is simply about finding an eye-catching subject, in good light, and having a creative eye for composition.
Bob Ross - Biography, Bob Ross - The Author of Encouragement
Bob Ross 1943-1995 Bob Ross is truly the Author of Encouragement. To know him was to gain a good friend. A friend that was willing to share the full extent of his skills and knowledge of oil painting with the world. Bob's willingness and desire to spread the Joy of Painting with the world was only surpassed by his amazing talent to encourage others to explore their untapped artistic abilities. The first words that I recall ever hearing him say was "You Can Do It", as he gracefully encouraged and empowered his viewers to give it a try. Even after a 20 year career in the U.S. Air Force, which he began at the age of eighteen, Bob held fast to his love and desire to paint.
African Dolls
Unlike ordinary dolls, African dolls are not just plain playthings for younger girls. These objects depict religious beliefs and ritual practices of a community. Commonly, you can tell the region from where certain African dolls originated from the costume that they have been dressed with and their shape. In most tribes, a mother hands down her African doll to her daughter which in turn, would later pass it on to another successor. The Ndebele in Zimbabwe are among the tribes that make traditional use of African dolls. The tribe, though small, is widely recognized for their artistry and deep love of beauty and color made evident in their extraordinary homes and clothing.
Oprah Asks Rock Star Legend Billy Joel Some Hard Questions About His Music, Life, Love Marriage
Oprah asked rock star legend Billy Joel some really good questions to learn about how the successful musician creates such stirring songs. Billy who doesn't see himself as a "rock star" didn't object to Oprah calling him a legend in his own right, though Joel doesn't consider himself the high-maintenance celebrity type. Billy when asked which of his songs are his personal all-time favorites mentioned he considers them all as children, each dear to his heart. Joel did acknowledge however that any given day his personal favorite can change given the circumstances. Oprah to my surprise brought up newspaper clippings about three of Joel's car accidents and asked him if he was a bad driver.

The Art Of Finding Mammoth Ivory Tusks
Alaska and Siberia are the two main locations for excavating the extinct woolly mammoth and tusks of ivory. Siberia, just as Alaska, carries the on going struggle that is getting deeper between the archaeologists and those excavating specifically for the exquisite natural material of mammoth ivory tusks. With mammoth now being the chosen ivory for creating some of the most beautiful ivory art throughout time, it is also one of the only legal ivory allowed because of elephants being banned, the importance of this ivory is at its height. Even with the importance of archeology and the laws enforced to protect Alaska's only way to detail the land and human history, there are still those who do not care.
HAiR the Musical - 40 years later!
Los Angeles, CA - It's the double headed image of "HAiR". An iconic image created 40 years ago, is resonating more strongly with the youth and young adults of the world today than perhaps ever before As reported recently in "USA Today" the New York based trend forecasting think tank, The Trends Research Institute, found something unique in American history, a new generation looking back in time for inspiration... specifically, the 1960's. From John Lennon, to John Kennedy, nowhere is the list of heroes and icons drawn into sharper focus than the anti-war, peace, freedom and love symbol of the 60's - the play and music of "HAiR".
Herbs Used In Love Spells
One of the most common types of spells used by practitioners of magic is the love spell. While the Wiccan Rede forbids direct manipulation of another person (meaning, you can't force them to behave in a way they wouldn't want to on their own), love spells can still be utilized to open yourself up to the loving emotions that await you in the world and make it more likely that energy is going to be returned via karma. There are different methods of conducting a love spell. It can be an elaborate affair, involving a photo and candles or as simplistic as making an amulet or talisman to carry with you.
A Magic Spell to Attract What You Desire
There is a wide variety of love spells out there that can meet just about any need that follows the Wiccan Rede rule of "an harm ye none, do as thy will". The following spell works by opening you up to the reception of that which you desire. The first mental step of that process is actually identifying what it is that you desire. With that knowledge, and a handful of ingredients easily found online or in a New Age shop, you can call upon the elements for assistance. This spell is best left to those who have done some magic work before since there are quite a few objects involved (and a lot of open flames), including an altar.
Steel Art in Thailand
Thailand has developed an international reputation for its steel art creations. You may have seen examples of Thai craftmanship online in the form of Life-sized Alien, Predator and Star Wars characters, freestanding and made entirely from scrap metal. The industry began over 15 years ago when independent artists began to create small and basic models from wire, nuts and bolts. Typical examples include stickmen, motorcycles and very basic animal models. Nothing was made commercially and the creation of these statues were merely a hobby practiced by a group of about 12 craftsmen. The industry changed significantly after the first Predator movie appeared in 1987.
